Railway Raises $100M to Build Next-Gen Cloud Infrastructure for AI Systems

Railway, a provider of a AI-powered cloud platform designed to simplify application deployment and infrastructure management for developers, secured a fresh $100 million Series B funding round. The investment round was led by TQ Ventures, with significant participation from FPV Ventures, Redpoint, and Unusual Ventures.

With fresh funds, Railway plans to modernize cloud infrastructure for developers, particularly those working on complex AI applications. The company aims to address the bottlenecks and operational complexity inherent in traditional cloud platforms that struggle to keep pace with the rapid speed of AI-driven software development.

Including the latest funds round, Railway has raised over $120 million in funding to date.

Railway offers a modern, developer-centric cloud platform designed to simplify application deployment, infrastructure management, and scaling. It enables developers to deploy code from GitHub or Docker images in seconds, handling provisioning, databases, networking, and monitoring with minimal configuration. Often known as a faster alternative to Heroku, it features automated workflows, environment management, and built-in CI/CD. 

Railway has established a significant market presence worldwide. As of today, the Railway cloud infrastructure platform supports over 2 million users globally. Its platform has amassed approximately 100,000 paid users across 25,000 businesses. According to the latest data provided by Railway, approximately 31% of Fortune 500 companies utilize its platform for their infrastructure management and deployment.

Railway serves a growing list of customers, including Bilt, MGM Resorts, TripAdvisor’s Cruise Critic, Intuit’s GoCo, Profound, Happy Robot, among others.
